Black Hebrew Israelite Cult - Bible Teaching #13
Black Hebrew Israelite Cult
So, on June 16th 2023, while steet preaching in Ybor City, Tampa, Florida. I ran into an extremist, terrorist, racially driven group called, "Black Hebrew Israelites". I was wildly unprepared, they gave me a run for my money. I had to cut off the recording at 28 minutes because from that point on it was no longer beneficial to the body of Christ at large.
Sadly the 3+ hour debate did turn into dissension. I had to humble myself in the middle and apologize, they found that as an oppurtunity to overpower, but God knows I did what was right.
There were multiple stale mates, they won a few points, as I also won a few points. The next morning, as usual, the Holy Spirit confirmed me deeper in the Truth that I preach and showed me the answers that I did not have. So I could be prepared for next time. Praise Yah!
This is what I was shown. I hope this strengthens the Saints and equips them to combat this false gospel of black supremacy. Which has been a nuisance to multiple street preachers across America. As well as, by the grace of God, prevent some on the fence from joining that cult.
May God grant you increase concerning this.
Point one:
First point we are going to go over is, when they said that, God never used Uncircumcised and Circumcised to contrast between Israel and the rest of the world. Only between Israel and other parts of Israel. As I remembered that the Bible did do exactly that in the Old Testament, I sadly could not find it in the moment. But, in Jeremiah 9:25-26 we see this:
"Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “that I will punish all who are circumcised with the uncircumcised— Egypt, Judah, Edom, the people of Ammon, Moab, and all who are in the farthest corners, who dwell in the wilderness. For all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart."
So we see that the contrast had been made before. Now we see that in Ephesians 2:11-13, it makes sense that, God is making the contrast once again, Israel being circumcised and the nations that are not Israel being uncircumsized.
"Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ."
They were trying to say that the uncircumsized were the Jews that were Hellenized and the Samaritan northern 10 tribes. Uncircumsized could not mean the non Israelites, because it is never used in contrast with Israel anywhere else in the Bible. But, now we see that they were wrong and the uncircumsized mentioned has been and was used as a contrast from Israels people and the other nations around them.
Point 2:
Edomites, the descendants of Esau, who they call, "white people", will become extinct. With no chance of repentance or salvation. As they mentioned, Malachi 1:2-3, Obadiah, Deuteronomy 25:17-19, and Hebrews 12:16-17. But they failed to mention that in the end, Edom is one of the nations spared! In Daniel 11:41, Edom is 1 of the nations spared from the Anti-Christ invasion. Showing that Edom will still be around in the end and that God prophesied protection over them. The Anti-Christ even enters the "Glorious Land". That is the land of Israel. So, how do they reconcile that? I am curious to find out, on the next run in.
Another thing to combat Esau's complete utter anhialation and abandonment from God. God actually punishes Moab for attacking Edom! That is found in Amos 2:1. So God still avenges Edom, (as he does Israel and other nations), and has not abandoned them as a cursed race to utter extinction.
Point 3:
In the story of Cornelius. They tried to say that the term, "another nation", in Acts 10:28; the Greek word allaphulos, Strong's G246. That term was a compound word only used 1 time in the NT. It is broken down to the words allos and phule. Allos means another, phule means tribe or race of people. Which is true, amen. But this is where they went wrong, when they said "Phule is only used in the NT, talking about the 12 tribes of Israel". I should have looked at the Englishman's concordance on my phone. But I did not, that was my wrong. Phule is the word for tribe used in Revelation 1:7. Obviously not just talking about Israel for it says,
"Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen."
How many tribes? The 12 tribes of Israel? No it says, all the tribes or races of the earth. Even those who pierced Him. Who pierced him? Roman soldiers or descendants of Israel?
We also see less than 10 verses later in the book of Acts, Peter uses a different term. Which strengthens this argument. In Acts 10:34-35, that term, "every nation", is pas (every) and ethnos (Probably from etho; a race [as of the same habit], i.e. A tribe; specially, a foreign [non-Jewish] one [usually, by implication, pagan] -- Gentile, heathen, nation, people.)
That word ethnos then is talking about a tribe foreign to the tribes of Israel! Pagan nations! So yes, Cornelius was of a race that was not of Israeli descent.
Point 4:
Even if they try to fight whether or not Cornelius was from a nation outside of Israel. They still have the story of Balaam to deal with. Balaam was a prophet of YHWH while Israel was in the Exodus. So, that was after God chose Israel, after the 400 years of slavery in Egypt, while in the Exodus through the desert.
This prophet Balaam was also chosen by YHWH just as Israel was. Even though he was not a descendant of Israel. Below will be some key points proving such:
Numbers 24:2-4
And Balaam raised his eyes, and saw Israel encamped according to their tribes; and the Spirit of God came upon him.
Then he took up his oracle and said:
“The utterance of Balaam the son of Beor,
The utterance of the man whose eyes are opened,
The utterance of him who hears the words of God,
Who sees the vision of the Almighty,
Who falls down, with eyes wide open:
Numbers 24:15-16
So he took up his oracle and said:
“The utterance of Balaam the son of Beor,
And the utterance of the man whose eyes are opened;
The utterance of him who hears the words of God,
And has the knowledge of the Most High,
Who sees the vision of the Almighty,
Who falls down, with eyes wide open:
Numbers 24:13
If Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the word of the Lord, to do good or bad of my own will. What the Lord says, that I must speak’?
Numbers 23:5
Then the Lord put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, “Return to Balak, and thus you shall speak.”
Now, if you want to fight that Balaam was chosen by YHWH even though he was not a descendant of Israel; you are either purposely ignoring it, making you ignorant; purposely acting deceptively, making you a liar; or the exact definition of stupid. Humble yourself and let the Word of God speak, not your feelings.
Have you ever read Isaiah 19:24-25? Where Israel, Assyria and Egypt are all listed as God's chosen nations. "Blessed is Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance." Come on guys, quit trying to force fit a racist ideology into the Bible, then you will not have these problems.
Point 5:
They said, show me where God raised up someone to save Edom. At the time I was overwhelmed as it was 4 against one, (2 main talkers), and a topic that I have not dove into deeply. So I was stumped and did not see the obvious answer.
The answer is Jesus! As it says in Genesis 22:18, all the nations of the earth will be blessed by Abrahams seed. Just Israel? No! Same word used in Genesis 1:1 where God created the heavens and the earth! That word for nation is not talking about just the tribes of Israel either. What about in 1 John 2:1 where it says that He is the propitiation for the sins of the, "WHOLE WORLD". What about 1 John 4:14 where Jesus is the savior of the WORLD? What about John 3:16 where showed His love to the WORLD. It is crazy that they do not see this.
Point 6:
They make the case that Esau was a white man because he was born red, in Genesis 25:25. That word used is the Hebrew word admoni, Strong's H132. If that is true then, king David was also a white man. For king David is also described with the exact same word! 1 Samuel 16:12 reads like this:
So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, (admoni), with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!"
That word admoni is the same word used to describe Esau's color. Esau and King David are the same color!
Point 7:
Paul makes it perfectly clear that there is no division in the body of Christ. He says this in Colossians 3:11,
"where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all."
Only division is the Church being divided from the world. Called out. Separate from sin but united together in righteousness.
Point 8:
They say that "white people" came from Esau. But lets see if that holds weight. Lets look at the name for Adam, the first man. Adam which is translated from the Hebrew word, Awdawm, Strong's H121. That was the name of the first man. That word came from another Hebrew word, (same phonetc spelling but different meaning) Awdawm, Strong's H120. That word means a human being. That word, (Awdawm for human being), comes from the Hebrew word, Awdam, Strong's H119. That word means, "To show blood (in the face), i.e. Flush or turn rosy -- be (dyed, made) red (ruddy)."
As they themselves argue that only "white people" blush red. Now we see that the first person, (Adam), was white. Because his name means to blush red. Even the word for mankind comes from the word that means to blush red. So mankind was created white. Thus destroying their whole theological argument at its core.
Conclusion:
Sadly this racially charged group has been hurt and is hurting from being mistreated because of skin color. So now they have become exactly what they hate, racists. Doing evil to someone because they did evil to you makes you evil also. Pray for them and share the Truth with them. The True Gospel that really stops racism, where we all become equal in 1 body with different functions. Jesus is the only way, He said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go sin no more."
May God bless you all. As God loves you, regardless of color, so do I.
I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts and am willing to discuss any of these topics and more, in great detail. If you would like.
